A personal message from our Chief Executive
If you are considering applying for a job with us the most important question for you to answer is “why would I want to join Commercial Trust?” For me this simple. There are five answers to this question.
First, we learnt a long time ago that if we want to grow the company as fast as we have you must grow your people within. Our goal is to provide unrivalled opportunities for career advancement as well as an environment where everyone can reach their full potential and beyond.
Secondly, we believe that each and everyone within the company makes a difference. You only have to look at our track record to see that is true. Of course some people don’t want to make a difference or have a voice. But most do and if you want to make a difference and you want your work to count then a job with Commercial Trust will be right for you.
Thirdly, if you join Commercial Trust you will hear the words “world class” used on a frequent basis. We do not use these words lightly. We aim to be world class in all we do. From the way we treat our clients to the way we treat our staff. For us it is simple. To provide world class service you need world class staff. One without the other does not work.
Fourthly, our principles and values separate us from the crowd. We pride ourselves that we are modern and progressive in many ways. However a key element of our success derives from our adherence to what many might see as a set of old-fashioned principles and values. For us, for example, principles such as being open and honest with everyone we deal with are part of our core DNA. We are much more concerned with what people do than what they say they will do. We are interested in the person not the myth.
Lastly, I want to leave you with one thought. My personal benchmark against which I measure my and the company’s progress is neatly summed up by one of my favourite quotes which is:

All of our Sales Managers started off advising and progressed to where they are now. All of our Account Management Team leaders have been promoted from within the team too. Our Head of Compliance and Training has been promoted through different roles within the group to her current position and our Chief Executive was at one time an advisor and is now leading the company.
